This is a pure game of chance. Success depends solely on chance, not on skill, strategy, or in-game decisions.
Objective of the game
Basically, the game involves the player betting on the sum of the rolls of two dice. A shooter, as the player who rolls the dice is called, rolls two dice. In some cases, one roll is sufficient; otherwise, there may be several.
If your bet on the outcome of the dice is correct, you win. If not, the casino wins.
the basic rules
The game is played with ordinary dice, each scoring from 1 to 6. Before the game begins, all players place their bets on the corresponding bet they want to make.
The craps playing field is usually a green patterned cloth, similar to a roulette table. Chips can be placed there in the corresponding spaces.
Names of dice points
Eyes that can be rolled have certain names:
● Natural: eye adds up to 7 or 11 in any combination.
● Shit: eye adds up to 2, 3 or 12 in any combination
● All other sums (i.e. 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10) are called dots (draw).
Simplified dice
Although it seems like a much more complicated game than it is, some players prefer to play a simpler version. Simplified Craps has no sense of direction, so the game is decided by a single roll. On numbers 3, 4, 11, and 12, the shooter wins; on all other rolls, he loses.

High point dice
In the High Point variant, this refers to the height of the number of points rolled. The rules are slightly different here. If a 2 or 3 is rolled, the shooter must roll the dice again. The highest values of 11 and 12, on the other hand, mean an instant win.
Everything in between requires a second roll, and the sum of the first roll becomes the target number. To win, the shooter must roll a higher number than the first time.
Dice without dice
In fact, there’s also a version where you play without dice. For the corresponding numbers 2, 3, and 12, the roll is considered a push, and the same goes for 11. So you can’t lose on the come-out roll and immediately win with a 7.
The rich dice
In this variant, you don’t take two dice in your hand, but just one. With a 6, the shooter wins immediately; with a 1, they lose. If a 2 or 5 is rolled, then another roll must be made. The number from the first roll becomes the target number in Die Rich Craps. If the next roll is higher, the shooter wins; otherwise, they lose.
Card dice
Incidentally, there is also a Craps variant with playing cards instead of dice. For a long time, dice games were frowned upon and not considered elegant enough to be offered in casinos. Furthermore, in some states, like California, dice games for gambling are still prohibited.
The card game Craps is played with the Aces, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and 6s from two decks. In total, you play with 48 cards. The shooter doesn’t roll the dice; instead, he reveals two cards at a time. Otherwise, the rules are the same as for the Craps variant.

Guide: Craps Betting and Regular Play
The game consists of:
● the shooter (dice player)
● and the Faders (all other players)
It’s also important to note that the shooter can always bet an amount first; this is called the bank. Other players can do the same.
Once everyone has placed their bets, the shooter makes their first roll of two dice (the come-out roll). They can choose two dice from a total of five. The remaining three dice return to a bowl.
● On 7 or 11 (Natural), the shooter wins immediately.
● At 2, 3 and 12 (Shit) the shooter loses.
● For other eye totals (Point), the shooter rolls again.
If a second roll is made, the following applies:
● If the shooter rolls the same total of “Points” as before, he wins.
● If you roll a 7, you lose immediately.
● For any other point total, the shooter rolls a third, fourth time, and so on.
By the way, the shooter can continue rolling the dice if they want. Even if they’ve already rolled a “crap,” they can continue playing. However, they must place a new bank to do so. Otherwise, the shooter can pass the dice to their right-hand neighbor.
